These are an environmentally sensible alternative to traditional creosote Rail Ties. Yellow Cedar Rail Ties will “wear out” before they rot out, and these products hold the gauge very well (gauge is the ability to hold the rail spikes in position so the track stays consistent in width). They are not difficult to change out and dispose of for a second life as garden ties or firewood. Creosote Ties are difficult to dispose of because of the chemicals. This is 7″ x 9″ x 8′.
